  • Distinctive look. More comfortable than other watches thanks to the compact case. Waterresistant to 50 meters, Highresolution AMOLED and completely round, The rotating bezel is a fantastic, natural way to navigate a smartwatch UI, Tizen makes for an excel
  • The lack of a speaker means phone calls are out, Samsung Pay will only work with NFC terminals without Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST). That's included in the Gear S3 and Samsung phones, Only comes with S Voice. No Bixby and obviously no Google Assista
  • The Samsung Gear Sport is an amazing smartwatch—possibly the best one you can buy right now. The design is distinctive, yet understated enough to fit in a business or casual setting. The standard 20mm lugs allow you to swap in whatever band you want, but...

  • Awesome display and two-day battery, Great fitness tracking, Interoperability with multiple tracking ecosystems, Rotating bezel is a treat, Notably thinner and lighter than Gear S3
  • Software attempts to do too much, No neutral or women's design option, Setup process can be clunky on non-Samsung phones, No LTE or MST Samsung Pay payments
  • The smartwatch market isn't that large, and the number of compelling offerings can really be counted on a single hand. The best chance smartwatches have right now is to go after the fitness tracking market, appealing to those who want something that can h...

  • Attractive case, Useful rotating bezel, Bright, colorful screen, Four-day battery
  • Unreliable sleep tracking, New calorie tracking feature doesn't feel complete
  • Ultimately, the Gear Sport is almost as robust a fitness tracker as it is a smartwatch, and is one of the most versatile in the category, especially for those who already own Samsung's phones and TVs. Plus, its unique rotating bezel continues to stand out...

  • Bezel controls, Automatic activity tracking
  • Limited app library
  • If you want something that isn't Apple, looks, feels and executes on the conventional smartwatch with more pizzazz than the rest, the Gear Sport is the way to go...

  • Abstract:  The Apple Watch might be the most popular smartwatch, but its controls and interface don't hold a candle to what you get on Samsung's watches. The problem is that because Samsung has been trying to start its own watch ecosystem with Tizen OS, its watches...

  • Sleeker design, Offline Spotify playback, Samsung health is effective
  • Poor exercise tracking, GPS performance erratic, Heart rate monitor not effective
  • The Gear Sport is a fine smartwatch - but fine in the sense of average, not luxury. It does almost precisely what its predecessor does in a slightly sleeker and more water-resistant way, but lowers the battery life somewhat. With the older model disappear...

  • Excellent display, Offline Spotify playback, Swimproof
  • Not many third-party apps, No support for external heart rate sensors, Expensive
  • The Gear Sport is Samsung’s first fully waterproof smartwatch, but it falls short of being a proper multisport watch...

  • Great design, Vibrant OLED screen
  • Poor battery life, Redundant S-Voice instead of Bixby
  • While the Samsung Gear Sport manages to do the basics just fine like getting the step count data to tracking that odd run well, to all manner of notifications; there are so many tiny bits throughout the device that really spoil the experience. From lower...
