Slim, elegant design looks decent and makes the phone very easy to use. Highend peak performance in a 4.7inch handset. Great display, even if it's only 720p. Camera is impressive in good lighting.
Substandard battery life with significant performance throttling. Several hardware shortcomings compared to other flagships. Expensive.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is one of those smartphones that I like, but wouldn't recommend over the current crop of high-profile flagships on the market today. The design of the Alpha is certainly very nice, and a significant upgrade over the plastic mess ...
Elegant design, Very good build and stiffness, Very compact and light, Removable battery, High-contrast Super AMOLED screen with stable viewing angles and good color reproduction, Appealing performance, All-encompassing configuration including fingerprint
720p resolution only, Screen a bit dark, No micro-SD slot for expanding storage, Micro-USB 2.0 only, Camera's low light performance disappointing
Samsung launches a strong piece of hardware in the competitive high-end market with its Galaxy Alpha. Though it adheres to Samsung's own Galaxy S5, clear concessions have to be made in comparison. The refined manufacturing process of the new casing and th...
Elegant looks and metalreinforced build, Compact size great for onehanded use, Smooth performance, Loaded with features,
720p screen, Nonexpandable storage, Pricey
There's no doubt in our minds that the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is one of the best phones the brand has outed yet. Apart from its low-res screen and non-expandable storage, it's difficult to find fault with it. Sure, the camera is scared of darkness and the b...
The Galaxy Alpha is an interesting device. It's essentially a flagship device with a mid-tier display and a flagship price tag. Although I did enjoy the metallic bezel, I don't think Samsung went far enough. It is a good first attempt however, and I'm ...
Abstract: “The Samsung Galaxy Alpha offers a 12MP primary shooter and we just took it out for a spin”If you're a Samsung fan and have always hankered for a metal-clad option from the brand, the Galaxy Alpha (first impressions) is probably what you've been waiting f...

Geez, it was a tough battle between those two, seeing that they sport very similar specs and performance. The Galaxy Alpha has a thinner body than the Z3 Compact, but the latter is thicker for a reason, flaunting a water-tight chassis, and a large battery...
The Alpha could have been a real contender, however, its exclusiveness on AT&T, coupled with poor performance and average battery life should keep most buyers away from it. If Samsung wants to make a real “iPhone Killer” device, all they need to do is...
Amazing what a little band of metal can do for look/feel for a device. Especially for Samsung who were the kings of plastic is looking to switch things up a bit. At the end of the day, the Alpha is a lot better than I thought it would be. Upon its rele...

Strong, lightweight design, Good performance, Great battery life, Compact
Expensive, Non-expandable memory, Plastic back cheapens design, Temperamental fingerprint sensor
The price of metal Whilst there are certainly problems with the Alpha it's a sort of sidestep in the right direction for Samsung - a well-balanced performance smartphone that serves as another fantastic Android alternative to Apple's iPhone 6 alongsid...
Pricing alone indicates that these two smartphones are competing head-on against one another, where it'll cost consumers $200 to pick them up on-contract. If we're to look at what they offer on paper, from a specs sheet and features set standpoint, it's a...
