  • Abstract:  Product round-up It took a little while for the production lines to get going, but the first few months of 2012 have seen super-slim Ultrabooks completely outnumbering every other type of desktop or laptop PC coming our way. Intel’s tight definition o...

  • Abstract:  Price as reviewed: Samsung are certainly doing a good job of throwing their hat into the ultrabook ring, impressing with their high-end Series 9 models and slightly cheaper Series 7 machines. They're also making a decent stab of sewing up the mid-rang...

  • Low Price for an Ultrabook, Good Touchpad and Keyboard, Plenty of Connectivity
  • No SSD, Plastic Chassis, Heavier than other UltraBooks
  • The Samsung Series 5 is the perfect light laptop for those who want to add a low price into the mix of decent power and good portability. It's a great alternative to some of the premium Ultrabooks out there and makes some smart compromises....

  • 500GB hard drive, Great keyboard and touchpad, Plenty of connectivity, Wallet, friendly price
  • Uninspiring design, Middling performance, Average battery life, Bulky for an Ultrabook
  • Samsung has produced a well-rounded and affordable Ultrabook in the Series 5 Ultra 530U3B. Thanks to a spacious keyboard, comfortable touchpad and anti-glare screen, this would suit anyone looking for a mobile workhorse. The inclusion of a 500GB hard dis...

  • Smart design, Comfortable keyboard, Bright matte screen
  • Average performance isn't justified by high price, Underwhelming screen resolution, Average battery life
  • The Samsung Series 5 ultrabook offers the sort of clean, mature design you'd expect to see in a big city boardroom. Sadly though, it doesn't offer enough processor performance or screen resolution to warrant its relatively high price....

  • Abstract:  The first half of 2012 bought numerous ultrabooks to our desks for review, from the likes of Asus’ Zenbook and HP’s Folio 13 to Dell’s XPS 13. Conspicuous by its absence though, was an offering from Samsung. Happily, with the Series 5, that is no longe...

  • Advanced processor, Eyecatching display, Light in weight
  • Not so impressive battery life, Touchpad and keyboard should have been better
  • Samsung Series 5 13in (530U3B) Review tells us that buyers will find this ultrabook an average one. The features of this ultrabook can be found in other many such devices and that too at budget-friendly price. The battery life is not at par with many othe...

  • Well built, Stable performance, Non-reflective display is very comfortable, Humongous hard drive, Doesn't miss out on features - graphics card, HDMI and USB 3.0
  • Battery life isn't the best around, Dedicated graphics, but limited capabilities, On the heavier side
  • Do also read our comparison feature, where we compare four of the latest Ultrabook models in India, based on their reviews: Ultrabooks comparison: 4 latest models reviewed...
