You're stuck with a proprietary USB cable to charge it up with, and you have to supply your own AAA batteries for the controller - we wonder why the control pad wasn't armed with a USB rechargeable battery too, and the Nano Quad's own battery is not replaceable either, so you can't keep a juiced-up battery on stand-by
