  • Abstract:  The first generation of native PCI-Express SSDs arrived on the market this year, albeit a little later than expected. At any rate, some of these SSDs seem to live up to the promise of providing a faster interface. We tested SSDs by Plextor, Kingston, Sa...

  • PCI-E storage is still relatively new and there are few options on the market, so elevated costs are to be expected. Compared to the standard M6e standalone M.2 drive and expansion card, the M6e Black Edition is not a terrible deal. You get a much needed...

  • Marvell controller is equally good with incompressible and compressible data, good IOPS performance, lovely looking product
  • twice the price of high grade 250GB SATA 3 drives, you lose a PCIe slot, overall performance is quite disappointing.
  • There is no doubt that the Plextor M6e Black Edition delivers credible performance – first impressions are positive, it is a very attractive product, and the raised red heatsink will look great set against some subtle system lighting. When we delve further...

  • Very fast with PlexTurbo, Heatsink is useful, Looks great, Five-year warranty
  • Not NVMe, Expensive compared to SATA, Inconsistent performance
  • PC storage-focussed companies are busy trying to carve niches in a market that has become stagnant since the widely-used SATA 6Gbps theoretical limit was achieved some time ago. Some companies opt to RAID drives and place them on a faster-connecting PC...

  • A year ago, Plextor the first native PCI Express SSD threw for consumers in newsstand sales and now, in early 2015, it still has a unique position with it. The new M6e Black Edition is functionally basically the same as last year, but the beautiful appear...

  • Looks great, Impressive speeds up to 780MB/s, Increased cooling ability, PlexTurbo 2.0 software,
  • Price could be a factor, Neutral, LEDs might be to bright for some people in some setups, but that is a matter of taste, “Plextor took their already great M6e PCIe SSD and improved upon it with a stylish new design and with improved cooling capabilities
  • Let us start with the pure aesthetics of this drive. The Plextor M6e Black Edition is a beauty, there is absolutely no doubt about that. The black PCB has just as a superb finish as the black coating on the cover and bracket. The red heatsink in the middl...

  • The first thing we need to note about the M6e Black Edition is how it affects existing M6 series owners, especially those who have the original M6e. Basically, at the drive level this is the same product. Same speeds, same features (including support for...

  • Once again the balance of our results speak for themselves. The Plextor M6e excelled in sequential and randomised read/write despite the relative immaturity of both the platform and the interconnect, reaching a peak of 770MB/s read and 570MB/s write i...

  • Abstract:  Part of the advantages of having an extra PCIe is that it enables you more room for upgrades. This usually empty slots beg for something to be jammed between them, be it in the form of other third-party modules such as LAN and audio cards. Sometimes, we g...

  • Abstract:  Tương tự mẫu Plextor M6e Tinhte từng thử nghiệm thì M6e Black Edition cũng hỗ trợ cả giao tiếp chuẩn M.2 lẫn PCI Express 2.0 nhằm loại bỏ tình trạng “nghẽn cổ chai” trong quá trình truyền dữ liệu như SATA 3.0 . Cũng cần nói thêm là chuẩn M.2...
