  • Passive 3D is great to watch, good depth, strong colours, subtle detail, lovely contrast
  • Sound is thin and can get unruly, Viera Connect could be slicker
  • This is a good all-rounder, and now much better value. The passive 3D technology has been implemented well and the overall picture quality is good. The features and functionality are there too. Motion can be an issue at times, but arguably the biggest hur...

  • Built-in Wi-Fi, four pairs of 3D specs included, Freeview HD tuner, VIERA Connect
  • Visible horizontal lines, upscaling lacks sparkle, contrast
  • Acceptable all-round performance with the bonus of Smart TV and hassle-free 3D...

  • Capable of bright, accurate images, 3D is fantastic, The greyscale calibrated to reference standards, Packed full of features, Excellent viewing angles, 4 Pairs of 3D eyewear in the box, Good calibration controls, Low input lag and energy consumption
  • Black level and contrast performance is weak in low light conditions, Some smearing with fast motion, Light pooling - particularly in top right corner, Web Browser is difficult to access and needs some tuning
  • According to the most in-depth study, we've seen, of the differences in perception between passive and active 3D systems, passive 3D has been getting a rough ride in certain areas of the industry, although we've always expressed our approval in our revie...

  • Comfy and versatile 3D, Four pairs of 3D glasses, VIERA Connect, Impressive 2D, 3D conversion
  • Narrow viewing angle, Visible horizontal lines, Average contrast, Soft standard definition
  • It might lack star quality, but this versatile 37-incher brings 3D - and much more besides - within a tempting package. VIERA Connect is fast becoming our favourite smart TV hub, and while regular TV channels can look ropey and the viewing angle is narro...

  • Panasonic isn't quite there yet in terms of their Smart TV pursuit, but if you want a decent passive 3D display with an equally decent HD performance, the Viera ET5S is worth considering.Picture quality-wise, we have few complaints against the Viera. True...
