  • Abstract:  Call quality was never an issue with the 5800, as it easily lived up to our expectations of a Nokia-branded phone. Ring tones sounded quite loud and we were happy with them even in noisy environments. The vibro alter was of moderate strength. You also...

  • Abstract:  Click a thumbnail above for a larger view. The 5800 XpressMusic is Nokias first true finger-touch phone to be announced in the lingering wake of Apples iPhone. The 5800 - called the \\\"Tube\\\" when it first hit the rumor mill - is the first phone to use...

  • Good balance between weight and dimensions, 3.2inch widescreen display with high resolution, The sound from the loudspeakers, headphones and during a call is really highquality, A good browser and flawlessly working GPS, An affordable price, Long battery life
  • It feels cheap and fragile, The display is almost unusable when exposed to direct sunlight, Suffers from software and performance issues, The accelerometer is too sensitive
  • If we have to compare the 5800 with the other S60 phones, it should be placed somewhere in the middle. It’s clumsy and doesn’t offer anything more, in spite of the large touch screen. It has almost the same functionality, a bit poorer actually, because...

  • Abstract:  When you cant get the main feature of a phone working its hard to have a favourable impression. In this case the 5800 sells itself on connecting to Nokias online Music Store and providing 12 months of unlimited music downloads (although the musi...

  • Responsive touchscreen , HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS , 3.5mm headphone socket , Comes with Music offer , 8GB microSD card included
  • OS still has bugs that need ironing out , Pricey RRP
  • We like Nokia's take on the touchscreen music phone. It's responsive and it's hard to argue with a year's worth of "free" music. The new platform can be a bit buggy, but it's nothing a firmware update can't fix....

  • Responsive software, intuitive user interface, HSDPA-capable, Wi-Fi and GPS, included 8GB microSD card, 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Touch input is not consistent, resistive touch screen requires a firm press, text messaging takes some time to grasp, display is poor in sunlit environments
  • Nokia’s first touch-screen mobile phone, the 5800 XpressMusic is not an iPhone killer but it’s provides a solid building block as Nokia moves into this space. This smartphone packs in plenty of features, but it falls short in terms of usabilit...
