  • The nikon D3200 handles in a very similar way to the less expensive D3100, so the extra money is really paying for the increased pixel count. However, in the long run, such a high resolution will be as likely to frustrate the ‘family user as give them pl...

  • 24 Megapixels gives plenty of scope for cropping, Noise handled very well up to 1600 ISO, Effective autofocus system (with lenses it works with!), 1080p HD video, Nice design, build, handling
  • Autofocus only works with AFS lenses, Slow to focus with 1855 mm kit lens, No control wheel over the fourway controller for fast menu navigation, No swivel or tilt screen, Optical viewfinder could be better
  • Frustrating is the first word that springs to mind with the Nikon D3200, as in spite of its great picture quality, pleasant user-friendly design, good build quality and decent video mode, the D3200 proved disappointingly slow to focus with the kit lens...

  • Excellent image quality, Guide mode useful for beginners, Full HD movie capture (plus external mic input), great battery life
  • LCD too cold/cyan, pricey for an entry-level model, autofocus is the same old system - Sony A65 offers better performance, no autofocus for older non-AF-S lenses, flash too eager to pop up in auto modes when not always necessary
  • The D3200 is like a souped-up D3100 thanks to its excellent 24-megapixel sensor. Images are great, but the high asking price and lesser performance than (cheaper) middleweight DSLRs may confuse prospective buyers. The D3200 does usher in a new level of...

  • Helpful Guide Mode, Full HD vid with external mic, Excellent picture quality
  • Slightly pricey, Flash can pop up needlessly, LCD screen could be better
  • The Nikon D3200 is a little on the pricey side, almost edging it into the mid-range, but great if you're a DLSR beginner looking for a friendly camera that offers stunning picture quality. It's very slightly let down by the quality of the LCD screen, but...

  • Cheap price, 24 megapixel sensor renders low noise and great detail, Good movie quality
  • ISO performance tops out at 6400, Flash performance not good for close-up shooting, Tiny body doesnt balance well with pro-grade lenses
  • There is no denying that Nikon has significantly raised the stakes in the megapixel race. While many would consider that the case with respect to the D800, the Nikon D3200's 24-megapixel mega-slab-of-silicon isn't short on performance either. As far as im...
