  • Solid phone for an irresistible price, Average camera experience,  Solid design and construction,  Easily customizable hardware via swappable backplates
  • Data speeds are limited to HSPA, No NFC support, Limited inbuilt storage options, RAM limitations affect performance
  • In the end, the question is, did Motorola go too light on the improvements to this year's Moto G? Not at all. It's just as much of a no-brainer as it ever was, even if Motorola only made a few changes to the hardware. We can think of at least two reasons...

  • Bigger screen, clearer audio, slightly better cameras and microSD card slot. Unlike the Moto X (2nd Gen) which is sold through carriers, the Moto G doesn't have any carrier bloatware, The
  • Motorola didn't upgrade the internal specs — the processor, the RAM, the graphics chip or battery at all. It's good enough, like it was last year, but will become obsolete pretty fast
  • The Moto G is an upgrade over its predecessor in the ways that matter to its target buyers: larger screen, better camera, front-facing stereo speakers and storage expansion. What the Moto G isn't is a hardware powerhouse. It has the same internal spec...

  • Last year's Moto G was an absolute winner. No, it wasn't the phone of the year, but it wasn't trying to be. Motorola's goal was to offer a quality budget phone that was actually useable with good performance, and they nailed it. Now with the all new Moto...

  • Price, Front-facing speakers, Bright display, Compact size
  • Lacks LTE connectivity, Questionable build quality
  • The Moto G (2014) offers everything that we loved about the original, this time packing a larger display and an updated camera package, while keeping the same unbeatable price tag. If you're in the market for a good, budget-friendly smartphone, the Mo...

  • Camera is much better than the original's, Near-stock Android 4.4.4 is a treat, Feels snappy despite aging internals, Inexpensive
  • No LTE, Screen isn't as crisp as last year's model
  • Motorola's wallet-friendly formula hasn't changed much since last year's Moto G, but that's OK -- the company changed just enough to make the 2014 version one of the best budget smartphones out there....

  • Significant updates to the display and camera are very welcome. Frontfacing speakers add to an ergonomic design. Vanilla Android offers the best, unaltered experience. Fantastic value for money.
  • Still no LTE. Minor software optimization issues.

  • Still wildly affordable, unlocked for use with any GSM carrier, good specs for the price, nice styling
  • 4G LTE
  • Once again, it's hard to beat Motorola's budget offering. You won't find a name brand phone with a pleasing 720p IPS display, expandable storage, good voice quality and a Snapdragon 400 processor for less. For those looking for a cheap unlocked phone for...

  • Awesome front-facing speakers with stereo quality sound, It's just the right size, Bloat-free interface
  • No LTE or CDMA compatability just yet
  • This is absolutely the best mid-range smartphone you can buy at a decidedly low-tier price....

  • Abstract:  The Moto G (2014) review is here! The second generation Moto G is a huge step in a lot of ways: it's larger and has new additions like a microSD card slot and a brand new 8-megapixel camera. But with the same exact internals as the original Moto G, is thi...
