  • Value for money, Long battery life from the G6 Play and Plus, Good looks and craftsmanship, Clean, fast stock Android, Useful navigation and interface gestures, Hotswappable dual SIM card, AND a microSD slots
  • Average still image quality, Display colors aren't too natural, The earpiece/speakers on the G6 and G6 Play sound tinny and hollow
  • The sixth generation of Motorola's G-series leaves positive impressions in more ways than it has negatives. Thoughtful design choices coalesce with stock Android and long battery life for the ultimate in daily usage, and software update convenience. Each p...

  • The Moto G6 Play's battery is bigger than phones that cost much more money
  • In everyday use, the speed is fine, but it got one of the lowest scores in our speed tests this year. The screen is difficult to see in bright sunlight and it lacks waterproofing
  • The Moto G6 Play has a long battery life for the cost, but smart buyers would uplevel to the Moto G6 for just a little bit more...

  • Long-lasting battery is mighty impressive, Affordable asking price, Modern design and display ups the quality compared to previous generations
  • Only 720p panel resolution, Performance can feel a little slow at times, Micro-USB port is old fashioned, Trio of G6 phone options is confounding
  • For a phone that costs only £170 the Moto G6 Play offers a whole lot of goodness. Its biggest selling point is its battery life, which just goes on and on. Even power users would struggle to drain it in a single day.The problem with the G6 Play, however...

  • Beautiful design, More durable than other glass-body G6 phones, Great battery life, Simple, bloat-free software
  • Camera performs poor in low light, Somewhat sluggish performance, Screen isn't too sharp
  • Yes, but mostly if two-day battery life is important to you. If you can get by with a day of battery, we strongly think you should look at the Honor 7X or the Nokia 6.1...

  • Good battery life, Surprisingly good screen, Great value
  • Camera a touch slow, Mediocre night photos, Launches with a scrolling software bug
  • The Moto G6 Play is a great deal. What else did you expect from the Moto G series? Its slightly more expensive brother the Moto G6 is the biggest issue. For an extra $50/£50 you get a glass back, sharper screen and better, more versatile camera. It may wel...

  • Excellent battery life, Large, 18:9 screen, Stylish build for the price
  • Camera is average, No waterproofing
  • Place the G6 Play casually in front of a friend and tell them you've just spent £400 on a new phone and they'll be none the wiser. With its slim bezels and big screen it certainly looks the part, and in use it's fast enough that only the most demanding o...

  • It might be worth spending the extra to get the regular G6, but if you're strapped for cash then the Moto G6 Play looks like a nice phone for £169.It's got the stylish looks of the more expensive devices, albeit with plastic and no water-repellant coating...

  • Big battery, Stellar design, Works on all carriers
  • Fingerprint magnet, Specs mostly unchanged from Moto G5
  • Despite being the cheapest G6 phone, the G6 Play brings a lot to the table, including an impressive design, up-to-date Oreo software and a big battery...
