  • Abstract:  Hideo Kojima spent years polishing his vision of the Metal Gear series for the PlayStation 3, so it still comes as a bit of a surprise to see the spec-gobbling developer opt for the PSP with his cherished series' next iteration. It's very serious busin...

  • It’s gorgeous, well-written, has good voice acting, believable characters, a great soundtrack, a really interesting way of telling the story, the overall army building works better than it did in Portable Ops.
  • The camera controls take a lot of getting used to, some of the robot bosses even as early as the first chapter can be a horrible headache

  • Abstract:  Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, a portable addition to the celebrated stealth series, is a rich, fully fledged Metal Gear Solid game with top-notch production values and masses of content, packed onto the PSP. It complements a great-looking stealth-act...

  • High production values, Great soundtrack, Plenty of diverse activities that invite extended play, Intense boss fights.
  • Occasionally fiddly controls, No checkpoints in the long story missions.
  • Snake's latest PSP outing is slick, enjoyable, and stuffed with content. ...

  • Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker is something not taken lightly. The team behind this is also the team behind Metal Gear Solid 4, so the quality is matched perfectly. The music is quite annoying during boss fights but other than that it is beautiful and ...

  • Abstract:  The essence of great design is making compromises without being compromised: Making pragmatic trade-offs without sacrificing creative vision or quality. I'd love to be able to say that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker achieves this lofty goal, but ultima...

  • Here’s the thing – I could write another nine pages on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I could do it with ease. From the missions that have you listening to bird calls to the missions that have you taking photos of ghosts to missions that have you hold...

  • comicbookstyle cutscenes feature gorgeous art, lots more to do once you complete the main story, stealth gameplay nearly perfectly rendered, good storytelling, if a bit convoluted at times, great for MGS fans, but lots to offer for those new to the franchise, too
  • some controls not as intuitive as they could be (like aiming), suddenly difficulty spikes pretty much require coop to complete missions, It seems like I've said this a lot in my reviews lately, but I've never played a game in the Metal Gear Solid series before (gasp!). I suspect it's because I tend to favor fantasy, adventure and puzzle games, (though it's not an FPS, which I avoid because I'm

  • Highly produced and expertly polished in almost every way, tonnes of engaging content for MGS fans of all stripes, makes most PSP games look last-gen
  • Boss battles lack the inspired style the series is famous for -- worse than that, though, most are impossible to complete unless you recruit a co-op Snake
  • The latest portable entry in Kojima's famed tactical espionage series sadly evades perfection by requiring co-op for many of its boss battles. It's worth a look for seasoned stealth fans, but frustration often trumps fun if you go at it alone...
