LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is a love letter to fans of the Boy Who Lived. The comedic cutscenes toying with canon, the hundreds of hidden things to find, and the general sense of a great LEGO game paired with a great series really makes this game a s...
Great recreations of characters and environments from the movies/books; local coop is solid, especially with kids; loads to see and do, if you feel so inclined.
Repetitive gameplay and objectives are a drag, particularly in singleplayer; some Potter elements aren't well represented here; online coop not on the disc.
Funny and charming, Tons of variety and replay value, Downplays combat in favor of coin collecting, Lots of hidden nooks and crannies.

While it expertly captures the heart and essence of both the Rowling books and the popular films, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is bogged down by trite gameplay mechanics and a lack of innovation in TT's long-running series of LEGO adaptations...
Abstract: You’ve got to hand it to LEGO videogame creator Traveller’s Tales. The British Software House has done a fantastic job at taking the insanely popular brick building game and bringing on board some incredibly well known brands to fuse the two together t...
Where Lego Potter works is in its natural fit to the established world. The camera has largely been fixed (especially in the argument-inducing two-player) and fans of the boy wizard will no doubt fall in love Lego’s vision of Hogwarts. A perfect fit fo...
