  • Abstract:  JBL makes some of the best sounding iPod docks out there today. Its docks continue to impress me and it never ceases to create exciting new designs for its products. Recently, JBL released its Spyro series of speakers, which come in white or black. Aft...

  • No obvious distortion at maximum volume. Powerful subwoofer. Ideal for pop, rock, or rap. Small desktop speakers save space.
  • No visual meter for volume. Aside from volume, all other controls are on subwoofer. Touch-sensitive volume controls are not sensitive enough. Speakers are too light.
  • Virtually identical in price to Harman/Kardons Sound Sticks II, the Spyros sound almost as good but are lacking a bit in ergonomic design....

  • Abstract:  Simply put, Spyro and Spot are nearly the same system sonically, each blessed with dual 6-watt satellite speakers - smaller than the ones in JBL’s excellent Creature - and a 24-watt subwoofer that’s physically smaller but otherwise similar in...

  • Abstract:  Lucy checks out the bass-heavy JBL Spyro speakers, and vibrates across the office. And for £75, you cant say fairer than that.

  • Unique Design, Touch Volume Control
  • Average Sound, Design maynt appeal to all, Expensive
  • JBL SPYRO has an average sound performance. To be honest, I didnt enjoy it, especially compared to my all-time favorite 2.1 system Altec Lansing ATP3. I put it through our test tracks, and heres what it was like: the highs and the lows sounded diffe...

In seinem ...
