  • Branching story provides replay value , Some nice-looking environments , Melee kills are fun , Conquest mode is a neat idea
  • Conquest mode is ultimately all but useless , The story and characters stink , The action gets tedious , Absolutely awful vehicles
  • This disappointing film tie-in transforms the magical into the mundane....

  • Abstract:  James Cameron's AvatarInitially this was an extremely difficult title to review and it didn't help that I thoroughly enjoyed the movie but was quite lukewarm to the game. To compound the situation, the links with the movie were tentative at best and th...

  • Gameplay is rather generic, Combat isn't the most satisfying, The balance of firepower is firmly in the RDA's favour

  • Pandora is a beautiful world with some nice environments and lighting effects. Some cool powers. Melee attacks as the Na'vi is fun. Good replay value as playing both Na'vi and Human campaigns essentially gives you two games in one.
  • Bad voice actor for the lead role. frequent and long load times. Bad controls. Enemies aren't displayed on minimap. Enemies can be difficult to see as they blend with the environment. Driving vehicles is terrible (again, bad controls). Has a lot of fe...

  • Abstract:  We all know the drill. Every time a big blockbuster film comes out it usually drags a video game tie-in along with it. Most of the time these game adaptations come kicking and screaming, like G.I Joe the game, for instance. But occasionally they offer ...

  • Abstract:  GIVEN the ridiculous success of James Cameron's movie, Avatar: The Game has huge shoes to fill. In that regard, it is safe to say the game will never please the movie fans. This is a decent action game that plays as a prequel to the movie. However, to r...
