  • The low light high ISO performance of the X-T1 makes us rethink our timid approach to cranking up the ISO, We used the camera in tricky dim light on fast moving subjects with ISO set to 6400 and now reckon that 6400 is the new 800
  • Handling is a little slow compared with the competition, The Olympus OMD E-M1 and the Sony a7 are snappier in the hand
  • The Fujifilm X-T1 with its compact size and stellar performance makes conventional DSLRs seem old fashioned. Who needs all that extra bulk when it doesn’t translate into better image quality? The X-T1 has the same size sensor as consumer DSLRs so nothing is lost in that department...

  • Abstract:  This 16mp APS-C sensor camera has a weather-resistant body. Main controls for aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity are analog, a useful retro feature for those wh...

  • Abstract:  THE NEW FUJIFILM X-T1 JOINS THE OLYMPUS OMD E-M1 AND THE SONY a7 at the top of the mirrorless interchangeable lens camera category. For the past ten days I have had them all here together on the test b...

  • The X-T1 is a small departure from the original rangefinder style of Fujfilm's X-series cameras. It looks and handles like a DSLR, with a large viewfinder positioned on the camera's optical axis. But the mechanical dial controls are retained.Unfortunately...

  • Traditional controls, Rugged build, WiFi, Tilting LCD
  • Advanced Filter JPEG only, Screen not variangle
  • Well, Fuji has done it again: produced a camera that is not only beautiful, but is capable of producing some superb images. We can see this being top of many a photographer's lust list, and for good reason – it's top of ours too....

  • Abstract:  But it's the relentlessly traditional controls that I like most about this camera. They are strictly manual rather than menu-driven, and are almost indistinguishable from a 35mm SLR of 50 years ago, which may sound like a bad thing, but it's not. Pioneeri...

  • Abstract:  When we first heard about the Fujifilm X-T1 Graphite Silver Edition we were enthusiastic. After all, the X-T1 was one of our favourite cameras of the year, so when a manufacturer starts talking about a "luxury multilayer coating" what's not to like? Inde...

  • High-quality photos and movies, Superior ISO capabilities, Tilting LCD, excellent EVF, Made for experienced photographers
  • High price, Bulky, Limited weather-resistant lens lineup, Relatively steep learning curve
  • What can we say? Fujifilm makes some of the finest mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras available with its X-series, even if it's a bit pricey. We gave the X-E2 our Recommended rating, but this even more expensive model deserves an Editor's Choice desi...

  • Outstanding image quality, Top-class autofocus, Solid, weatherproof build, Superb EVF
  • No in-body stabilisation, Pricey lenses, No touchscreen
  • Fujifilm X-T1 verdict Open Gallery The X-T1 is a blindingly good camera, worthy of world-class shutter operators. If there's one complaint, it's the lack of in-camera image stabilisation. If you'll allow us another, there's the price of Fujifilm...
