  • The sound is accurate enough for pro monitoring, They block noise very effectively
  • Bass could use some beefing up for musicality, The silicone eartips are intrusive, Suffers from “cable thump”, *
  • If you fit in the hf2s fairly narrow niche and rock out to music that isnt dependent on throbbing bass, the hf2s are a worthy investment. But if youre just looking for a reasonably priced upgrade to the iPhones stock headset, check out the V-Moda ...

  • Abstract:  MyMac rating is 4.5 for both Ultimate Ears\' super.fi 4 vi and Etymotic Research\'s hf2. If the former had a larger, softer carrying case, and the latter shipped with more ear tips, they each would be very close to achieving a perfect score of 5 out of 5.

  • The Etymotic hf2 earphones offer great sound quality, and theres a built-in mic for making and receiving calls. A couple of useful accessories, such as a case, are included.
  • The Etymotic hf2 earphones dont work with all MP3 players. They may be uncomfortable for those who dont like sticking things far into the ear.
  • For iPhone users with a penchant for improved sound quality and a willingness to stick things in their ears, the Etymotic hf2 earphones are a reasonable option.

  • Superb audio performance. Reasonable price, considering sound quality. Works with iPhone to place and answer calls.
  • The unattractive foam tips will fit some users better than the flanges. Not gym-friendly.
  • If youre looking for excellent audio performance from a cell-phone headset, look no further....

  • While Apple is a world leader at touch technology, user interfaces and slick design, its headphone division must consist of a tone-deaf chimp managing a couple of lazy orang-utans. There’s no such monkey business at Etymotic Research, whose lab-coat...
  • As long as you’re happy delving into the inner reaches of your ear canal in search of sound quality, there’s little to rival these Etymotics. Be warned, however, that the headset isn’t compatible with many MP3 players and mobile phones &...
  • Expensive but probably the best single upgrade you can make to your iPhone in terms of both call and sound quality. Not such a great bargain for owners of other phones and MP3 players.Etymotic hf2 is tagged with Etymotic hf2, Etymotic and headphones. S...
