  • Abstract:  When it comes to being a typical top-down shooter, Dead Nation gets most of the basics right. And when it comes to zombie infestation games, Dead Nation also nails the basics. However, in a sub-genre that is becoming more saturated by the week, I think...

  • Dead Nation's beautifully rendered engine makes watching undead carnage in a ravaged world a visual treat (wait till you see the fat zombie explode!); Decimating waves of zombies with a friend is a blast.
  • The story is typical paperthin zombiefilm fare and the music is repetitive; Gameplay lends itself far more to coop than singleplayer.

  • Abstract:  Dead Nation is a new zombie game by Housemarque and while a new zombie game is hardly noteworthy the developer is. Their other big game was Super Stardust HD, an excellent title and my first purchase on my PS3. It is a game I still play years later and...

  • Abstract:  The opening moments of Dead Nation lull you into a false sense of security—it's easy to stay one step ahead of the zombies because you have plenty of rounds in your assault rifle. Then there are a few more undead. And then a few more. By the time you...

  • Dark, oppressive atmosphere, Richly detailed environments, Powerful, upgradable arsenal.
  • Doesn't actively encourage replay, Price point is a bit high.
  • Engrossing gameplay and rich environments make Dead Nation an enjoyable romp through the zombie apocalypse....

  • Gorgeous graphics and lighting create great atmosphere.
  • Lack of any save feature and uneven checkpoints makes playing some levels more of a chore than fun.

  • In spite of the moments where I lost my mind over a cheap death, I enjoyed Dead Nation. It's a thing of beauty to sit in a chokepoint and tear apart an army of zombies or watch a maxed out landmine go off several times and clear out dozens of roamers. ...

  • Abstract:  The zombie craze / infatuation is one genre that just will not go away. Sure, “zombies” have been around for a long, long time, but the past 10 years or so has resulted in an unprecedented flood of zombie-based media including comics, movies, and game...

  • Abstract:  Another zombie game? Wait, this one is actually good.I think it's safe to say this generation was all about the zombies. Every game you can imagine has had some type of mode or gameplay feature that has you fighting against the zombie hoard. Not all of...

  • Abstract:  While some gamers claim that the market is fully saturated with games in which you kill zombies, the industry does not appear to see it that way. As such, Dead Nation offers yet another opportunity for players to mow down legions of the undead in a w...
