The Force LX series of SSDs is the right move to make for Corsair. Transitioning towards 20nm NAND from Micron brings down the prices as well as opting a 3rd party controller that is nice and fast overall. The product itself offers very good performance....
Solid design, Great read activity performance, Good MSRP out of the gate
Needs even lower pricing to compete with Micron and Samsung, Write performance below par

Aggressively priced, Great read speeds, 7mm Casing
Mediocre Write speed
Knowing that the Corsair Force LX was an SSD designed for the budget conscious we weren't expecting blistering performance but truth be told for the price, we were pleasantly surprised. Not only did the Force LX beat some of the more expensive drives soun...
Abstract: The 512GB LX excelled in our benchmarks, writing large files at a blistering 573.8MB/s and reading them at an equally impressive 480MB/s. We did manage to exceed 600MB/s when writing large files, but we only managed this feat once. We wouldn’t expect such...
