  • Abstract:  Canons Ixus 860 IS replaces the Ixus 850 IS model but offers slightly higher resolution for a lower price. The 850 ISs optical viewfinder has been dispensed with, in favour of the new models larger, 3.0-inch LCD monitor. Continuous shooting speeds a...

  • Impressive performance and image quality, Optical image stabilisation, Face detection
  • No manual exposure controls, No optical viewfinder
  • While the Canon IXUS 860 IS doesnt have an optical viewfinder or manual exposure controls, it captures beautiful images with its wide, 3.8x optical zoom lens and ranks among the top compact cameras weve seen. ...

  • Abstract:  When I was a child, I would crawl around my parents’ garden in search of insects, spiders, ladybirds and any interesting plants and weeds that caught my attention, examining them intently for hours and pretending they were a part of my imaginary zoo. L...

  • Great build, image quality as lower ISOs, responsive, easy to use, good metering and colour, nice lens focal range
  • Reduced detail due to noise reduction processing, Intrusive noise at higher ISOs, white balance issues in mixed lighting, screen marks easily
  • While it looks very nice, the entry price is higher than that of its predecessor and, mysteriously, there are a few things missing from the new model
