  • Snappy and rare highend Intel processors and plenty of RAM. Handy gestures can launch specific apps from standby. Fully customizable skin. Ultracheap, considering what you get. Comes with 5GB of free cloud storage forever, and 100GB of Google Drive storag
  • Large bezels, poor choice of materials, and too large of a body. So much plastic! Heavy, hard to work with one hand. Capacitive buttons are not illuminated. Comes with a ton of redundant apps that are a chore to get rid of

  • Generous amount of storage offered—64GB in addition to a MicroSD expansion slot, The UIs native theming capabilities are seriously so cool
  • Too. Much. Bloatware, It isn't the prettiest phone on the block, but it will do
  • If you're looking for something a little more powerful than the Moto G with a slightly better camera, the ZenFone 2 is worth considering...

  • Appealing low price, Fast, lag-free performance, Asus' software allows deep customization
  • Disgusting amount of bloatware, Camera falls apart outside of ideal conditions, Generic design with bad button layout
  • More times than not, the Verge score is based on the average of the subscores below. However, since this is a non-weighted average, we reserve the right to tweak the overall score if we feel it doesn't reflect our overall assessment and price of the produ...

  • Good build quality and sleek design, Great price, Excellent battery life, Good UI with handful of features, Lots of internal storage (64GB) and RAM (4GB), Fast charging, Dual-SIM card support
  • Impractical design, Low maximum screen brightness, Comes with a lot of pre-installed bloatware
  • Even though ASUS isn't renown with its mobile devices, we are sure that the Taiwanese company is on the right track. ASUS' flagship smartphone might be missing some key features that are present in today's top-tier handsets like the LG G4, Samsung Galaxy...

  • The Asus Zenfone 2 is a pretty good phone with some features that make it borderline great. It has a processor that's fast enough to handle anything you can throw at it, a big screen that looks great for reading, web surfing, gaming, or watching videos...

  • I was extremely impressed with the Zenfone 2 overall, and after a couple of weeks of constant use I find that I could easily make this my daily driver. From the snappy processor to the fantastic touchscreen (with an excellent IPS display panel under it)...

  • Great display, Enjoyable ZenUI overlay, Great design and build quality, Solid overall performance, Fantastic $299 price point unlocked
  • Battery life, Middling graphics performance, Lackluster camera
  • The ZenFone 2 isn't as powerful as the Samsung Galaxy S6 nor the HTC One M9, but it's also half as expensive. When you consider the value proposition (or bang for your buck, as it were), it's hard to really knock Asus' latest. While it occasionally falls...

  • Throughout the course of this review you may have noticed that I often compared the ZenFone 2 to high end smartphones like the Galaxy S6, the iPhone 5s and 6, the LG G3, etc. You may have felt that it was unfair to do so, as those smartphones will cost an...

  • Aggressive $199/$299 price, Deep & thought out ZenUI experience, DualSIM, Speedy recharging time, Camera can take some nice looking HDR photos
  • Conventional looking design, Call quality can be challenging, Not as smooth with gaming, Thin sounding speaker quality
  • Asus is smart for attacking the entry-level segment of the market, as opposed to breaking into the high-end, which means tangling against some of the juggernauts floating about right now. Spending an intimate amount of time with the Zenfone 2, we're confi...
