  • Abstract:  ASUS's Chromebit is one of that handful of big-name computer sticks available today, and despite its middling price tag in this novel category, having access to the established Google Chrome ecosystem makes it a surprisingly appealing little device. Cons...

  • Great for digital signage or kiosks, Compact, Fairly priced
  • Seems underpowered, Runs hot, Not enough memory, No headphone jack
  • I want to love the Chromebit – I REALLY want to love the Chromebit, but I just don't, but I do like it. As far as the Chromebit goes, this would be fantastic for companies wanting to make a digital display, or use as a basic Kiosk setup – but as a PC/Chro...

  • On the face of it, the Asus Chromebit is a good-value device. £80 for a relatively capable PC is a bargain however you look at it, although isn't as cheap as I would have expected for such a low-powered device that isn't lumbered with an expensive Windows...

  • Abstract:  Asus's Chromebit CS10 is small enough to go just about anywhere. Still, you may wonder why anyone would actually want Chrome OS on a stick—when you could buy a Chromebook for travel, a Chromebox for home use, or even the much-cheaper Chromecast for media...

  • Portable form factor, Easy setup, Upcycle existing displays
  • Single USB port, Can't run desktop apps, Limited storage
  • The Chromebit is a compact, versatile HDMI dongle that transforms your existing display or TV into a Chrome OS-powered all-in-one. Chrome OS's lighter footprint makes better use of the limited hardware resources on the Chromebit, making it a better user e...

  • The Asus Chromebit is a small micro-desktop that brings cloud-based tools and services to any display at a very low price
  • It's limited to the same online tools as other Chrome OS devices. Minimal onboard storage. A single USB port makes expansion difficult
  • It won't run Photoshop or play games, but add a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and the Asus Chromebit turns any HDMI-compatible display or television into a Web-surfing station...

  • Affordable way to add Chrome OS to any monitor, Speedy performance
  • Gets fairly warm even with basic usage
  • A cheap and easy way of turning an old monitor into an all-in-one PC, the Asus Chromebit makes up for a somewhat limited desktop experience with great performance and ease of use...

  • Abstract:  There's plenty of competition for what gets plugged into your TV's HDMI port. Digital TV boxes, games consoles and Chromecasts are all common additions to the living room setup, but have you ever thought about turning your display into an all-in-one Chrom...

  • The main question about the Chromebit is what would you use it for? If you want to assemble a cheap home PC for basic work and internet duties, plus you have a screen and peripherals knocking around, then it's an excellent, cost-effective device. Similarl...
