  • Very easy to use, The sound is spectacular, Official gear for MLG,
  • Very high price point for average gamers, Mics are highly sensitive, Could be a longevity issue to the boom mic jack

  • Abstract:  The system, which retails for $279.95, comes with the A40 headphones, headphone tags, the MixAmp 5.8 transmitter and receiver, an optical cable, a play/charge USB cable, Xbox Chat Cable and a nifty carrying case. The real meat of the package is the MixAmp ...

  • Great 5.1 to 7.1 surround simulation; fairly easy to set up; comfortable and lightweight headset; wireless audio transmission; completely adjustable/removable boom mic; customizable volume levels; optical in/out; can work with any headphones
  • Pricey, not exactly fully wireless, some items sold separately, no direct solution for multiple console connections
  • While a bit pricey, the Astro A40 Wireless System is easily one of the best virtual surround-sound gaming headset systems we've ever tested.

  • We spent three weeks with Astro's A40 Gaming Headset and MixAmp products and had a very good overall experience. We like that a gamer can buy Astro Gaming's complete A40 system and use it on the PS3, XBox 360, and PC. We especially like the ingenious v...

  • ASTRO listens to their pro players and has been continuously adding requested features,
  • The mic is very sensitive, so you'll need to be careful not to overpower your listeners.
  • This is a well-designed PC gaming headset and is highly recommended by professional gamers....

  • Abstract:  What else can we say? The Astro A40 system is easily one of the best headsets/gaming audio systems we have ever tested. Expensive? Yes, but if you plan on using it with your PS3, 360, and PC, then it’s a sound investment.

  • Abstract:  It seems like every product on the market today costs more now than it did even just a year or two ago. Sure, the Xbox 360 has dropped in price, and every now and then you can get 20 cents off a gallon of gas (after buying $100 worth of groceries). But...

  • Comfort, for multiple head and hair sizes. Clear voice quality is a plus for smacktalking. Connectivity options to complement most setups.
  • PC gamers wont mind, but wireless LaZBoy warriors probably dont want to be tethered to their audio system. Add every component up and youve got an expensive setup on your hands.
