  • In terms of aesthetics and build quality, the new MacBook and MacBook Pro are absolutely excellent. When Apple introduced the iPhone I called it a phone that looked like it was made in 2007, and the same is true about the new notebooks. Apple walks a ...

  • Sleek, durable design, Innovative, buttonless multi-touch trackpad, Powerful discrete graphics, Brilliant, edge-to-edge LED-backlit display, Strong overall performance
  • Discrete 9600M graphics not that much faster than 9400M, Switching graphics requires logging out, Only two USB ports, No Blu-ray or mobile broadband option, Still no memory card reader
  • The last time we reviewed Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Pro we gave it an Editors’ Choice and named it one of our favorite notebooks of 2007, but we pooh-poohed its stale look. A year later, Apple has reinvented the Pro (along with the MacBook), del...

  • Design, Workmanship, Stability, Best touchpad so far, Switchable graphics, Very good emissions with 9400M, Very bright screen, Performance
  • Reflecting display, In order to switch the graphics it is still necessary to logout, Key labels fulfil just minimum requirements, Price, Only few interfaces
  • Many thanks to the company McShark Multimedia AG (especially to the store in Linz), who kindly allowed us to test the new MacBook Pro model in detail. As all other Apple notebooks also the MacBook Pro is available in each store of McShark...

  • Extremely solid construction, Multitouch trackpad, Improved graphics performance, Can switch GPUs to save power, A little thinner than previous MacBook Pro, New headphone port has integrated microphone capabilities
  • A little heavier than previous MacBook Pro, Less battery life overall, Some find the glossy screen too repugnant, No button on trackpad is a little off-putting
  • The 2008 MacBook Pro is a solid update to the already-solid line. The changes modernize Apples pro notebooks to be more in line with the features already offered by some of Apples other notebooks, while also giving it a power boost and an internal ma...

  • Abstract:  And boy, are there a lot of changes. A single unibody enclosure. An expanded, button-free trackpad. Multiple GPU units. Oh my! In this two-part review, well take a look at the new MacBook Pro in usage scenarios that range from professional to casual t...

  • Abstract:  As Apple’s flagship laptop, the MacBook Pro arguably has an easier time than the MacBook. With a reputation of superlative performance and style, the Pro is targeted at an audience who, to stereotype a little, has higher priorities than budget than tho...

  • Astounding gaming performance - even trumped a $4,800 Alienware machine. Unrivaled battery life of three hours of DVD playback at max screen brightness. Performs just as well in the form of a Windows PC as it does as a Mac.
  • Just two USB ports and none of the fancy stuff like HDMI, eSATA, Bluray drive or even a lousy SD slot. Expensive. RAM Size: 4 GB Clock Rate: 2.53 GHz Hard Drive Size: 320 GB

  • Now less than one inch thick. Design has no equal. Switchable graphics. Gesture and clickable touchpad. Still the lightest 15-inch laptop. Gorgeous glass screen. Illuminated keyboard. Excellent typing experience.
  • Lacks a built-in media card reader. Features arent the strongest. Pricey.
  • The MacBook Pro is a design marvel like no other, but you can find better features elsewhere....

  • Abstract:  Of Apples MacBook Pro lineup, only the two 15-inch models received the complete workup today. By now, youre probably aware of the design changes, which include a new "unibody" chassis, new buttonless multitouch trackpad, the addition of a mini Displa...
