  • The new 11-inch MacBook Air is a little faster and runs even longer, thanks to a small spec bump. More importantly, the base price drops by $100 to $899
  • The new CPU is a very minor upgrade over last year's Air and the system is still lacking an SD card slot
  • Apple's 11-inch Air gets a CPU speed bump and a decent price cut over the already excellent 2013 version. If you have a recent model there's no need to upgrade, but for anyone else, it's now a better deal than ever....

  • Thin and lightweight. Fourth-generation Intel Core processor. Extraordinary battery life. Bright screen. Nice multitouch trackpad. Backlit keyboard. Thunderbolt port. Dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
  • The 1,366-by-768 resolution is lower than many Windows-based counterparts. No SD slot, Ethernet or HDMI ports. Stiff keyboard and short keyboard deck
  • The latest Apple MacBook Air 11-inch is an ultraportable laptop in the purest sense of the term. It gives up a little utility, but in return, it's a great companion for the ultra-mobile user....
