  • Abstract:  We compare the displays of the iPad mini and iPad 3, with head-to-head comparisons on Safari and iBooks.Apple launched the iPad mini to an eager world on Friday. It’s a terrific device but one question hung over the launch: why doesn’t it have a Retina...

  • Abstract:  Ever since there has been an iPad, there has been an iPad mini rumour. Now that fiction has turned to fact and a 7.9-inch iPad actually exists, is it worth it?• The iPad mini is the same black (or white) rectangle you'd expect it to be, but as soon as you...

  • Wide display ideal for a smaller tablet size, quality finish, does what a large iPad does, works with the Apple ecosystem
  • Expensive when compared to other 7-inch tablets
  • So after spending some time with the mini, would we recommend it? First off, essentially, the mini really is a ‘miniature iPad'. There are few compromises, and you don't at any time get the feeling you're using an oversized smartphone, but rather a fully-...

  • The iPad Mini's ultrathin and light design is far more intimate and booklike than the larger iPad, and its cameras, storage capacities, optional LTE antenna, and general functionality offer a full iPad experience. The screen's dimensions elegantly display
  • The iPad Mini costs too much, especially considering the lower resolution of its 7.9-inch non-Retina Display. The A5 processor isn't as robust as the one in the fourth-gen iPad and iPhone 5. Typing on the smaller screen is not quite as comfy
  • If you want the full, polished Apple tablet experience in a smaller package, the iPad Mini is worth the premium price. Otherwise, good alternatives are available for less money....

  • At the moment, bearing in mind that we haven't been able to test aspects of its performance such as screen quality and battery life, Apple's iPad mini is looking like a winner. Merging aspects of the traditional iPad and the iPhone 5 in a smaller, lighte...

  • Abstract:  As Apple’s Executives made a point of stressing, the iPad mini first and foremost an iPad. Sure, when you pick it up, it’s impressively small and light. But most if not all of the features that you’ve come to know on the iPad—the headphone jack, the o...

  • Abstract:  Apple has finally made it official — the iPad mini is real. It features a 7.9in display with a non-Retina resolution of 1024x768, will run all existing iPad apps unmodified and includes 4G connectivity in Australia on the Telstra and Optus networks. The Ap...

  • Superb design, Great battery, Extremely light and portable
  • Smaller touch targets, Higher price than competition, Lowres screen
  • Can we see someone owning an iPhone 5, iPad mini and new iPad 4? Actually, yes...and not just the pointlessly rich. The iPhone is the perfect device for hopping in and out of content, giving you the internet all the time and generally allowing you to pla...
