Gorgeous build, stunning Retina screen, All day battery life, Much faster than the original Mini
Very expensive compared to 7/8in tablets, No expandable storage, Marginally inferior colours compared to Air's screen
If it wasn't for the tiny niggles of colour reproduction, performance and price, we'd give the iPad Mini with Retina display the overall tablet crown. Colours look slightly more vivid and accurate both on the iPad Air (which also performs ever-so-slightl...
Facing the world with a proper Retina display means the new iPad Mini has overcome the key limitation of its predecessor. The fact that it has also gained internals to match those of the top-of-the-range iPad Air means it's no longer the "iPad Jr" either...
Abstract: The new 7.9-inch display should show photos and videos in razor sharp detail as it features more than 3.1 million pixels; one million more than an HDTV. It has the same 64-bit chip that powers the iPad Air.The 128GB Wi-Fi only model costs £559, while th...
Amazing display, excellent battery life, fast processor, great 3D graphics, easy to use, app store still number one for quality and variety

Adds a high-res Retina screen, Thin, light, and comfortable to hold, Powerful 64-bit processor, New Wi-Fi antennas are fast, iOS 7 runs smooth, Battery life is still 10 hours
Camera quality has not improved, A hair thicker and heavier than iPad Mini, $400 price tag is steep for a compact tablet, No fingerprint sensor, Some users complain about iOS 7's new look
The iPad Mini 2 is our favorite tablet of 2013. With a powerful 64-bit A7 processor and a high-resolution ‘Retina' screen, it finishes the job that Apple started with the first iPad Mini started. At $400, it's a lot more expensive than other compact tab...
If iPads were the only tablets in existence, you'd be able to make your decision between the Air and mini completely based on size. I prefer the iPad Air to Apple's smaller slate because I think that once something isn't truly handheld or pocket-sized li...

You'd be hard-pressed to determine that this tablet is anything other than great after looking over our lab results . While the mini lags behind competition substantially in terms of color reproduction, that's the only real performance flaw we could find....
