Abstract: AMDs Radeon HD 4850 and 4870 are stunningly successful. Nvidia owns the highest of the high ground with GeForce GTX 280 but down on Planet Earth where people spend real money on real graphics cards it’s AMD all the way.
With some games a touch faster on the 8800 GT and some noticeably faster on the HD 4850, it’s not quite clear-cut as to which is better. The fact that the choice is so narrow is a nice problem for ATI as we tested it against a card with very mature...
Abstract: It has been a long time since Nvidia and ATI released new architectures so close to one another. The last time this happened was in 2004, with the R420 and NV40 launches, and overall the two architectures were extremely similar (six vertex shaders, 16 ...

I think the winner is pretty clear and it comes as no surprise, the HD4850 is the current best single card solution in the budget performance segment and also happens to be the best combo when it comes to building a dual-GPU solution. The prices have ...
Abstract: Its blockbuster season again and we dont mean that just for the movies. Its exciting times too in the graphics scene. Following NVIDIAs debut of its humongous next generation GPU that probably set a few records for size and power consumption, ATI h...
With the ATi HD4850 displaying so many quirks in our tests, many of you must be expecting the product to be slammed down the depths of Hell and banished to the Zones bin. Many of you may too wonder, why VR-Zones testing seem to be choppy seas to the ...
