TestSeek's Expert Reviews Summary
Staff at TestSeek has read all the expert reviews (so you don't have to) for this product and written a summary of what the editors think about the product.
The Altec Lansing Expressionist BASS FX3022 is a 2.0 computer speaker set which impresses most of the editors both with their design and audio quality. Instead of a separate subwoofer unit, the bass speaker is build into the speakers themselves. This design generally works fine and produces good audio quality but it may cause the table to vibrate at higher volumes. Most of the reviewers like the design of the product but they do reserve them selves by saing that "taste is individual"...indeed. Most editors think that the price is a little steep for the quality/sound of these speakers. They are often compared to Creative G-series speakers which most editors believe are better, at least when the price is considered as well.

TestSeek's Conclusion
Good looking and smartly designed speakers with high audio quality. A litlle too expensive; there are cheaper PC 2.1 speaker sets which gives you better value.
Abstract: Altec Lansings glossy black FX3022 speakers look very distinctive, and we were rather taken with their Dalek-like appearance. The power button and volume controls are located on top of the right-hand satellite. These are the first 2.2 speakers wev...
Sstriking design; subwoofers built into the base of each speaker
Treble is aggressive and brash; no remote

Huge amounts of bass for a twounit system, Clutterfree solution, Ideal if you dont have space for a dedicated subwoofer
No bass/treble controls, Bass can be overpowering, Aesthetics are an acquired taste
We started by asking ourselves, at the lofty price-tag of £99.99, can the Expressionist Bass deliver the required bang-for-buck? The simple answer would have to be yes. Theres ample amounts of bang - Altec Lansings FX3022 provide more bass than just ...
Very good looking, cool conical shape, Bass powerful enough to replace the need for a separate subwoofer
Bass overpowering for music listening, A little too forward sounding, Can be harsh high frequencies at times
PerformanceWe were quite itching to play these speakers right away and blast them with our tunes, but first, theoretical testing needs to be done, as that’s our job. I inserted our self made audio test disc into the HTPC drive and plugged in the FX3...
No bass or treble settings, Poor acoustics, Poor reproduction of mids, Expensive.
The Altec Lansing FX 3022 sells for around Rs.6,490 with a 1-year warranty. Now the pricing may seem exorbitant, but remember that you are not only paying for the sound but also for the superb design. The speaker system has already managed to bag an a...
Excellent sound and bass quality; unique tower-like shape.
No bass control; untidy wiring; a tad pricey.
I do think the Expressionist Bass FX3022 is a fun addition to anyone’s computer. The model lives up to the design, and holds its own when you are playing music and games. The lack of bass control could be an issue for some but it’s certainly n...
