  • Fantastic voice acting, Consistent, stylish visuals, A couple of really cool weapons to play with
  • Overlooks the best aspects of its premise in favor of boring storytelling, Every gameplay element is drab and rote, Too little of the cool stuff (guns, werewolves), lots of the dull stuff (looking at things, walking slowly)

  • Abstract:  This is the most difficult game review I've ever had to write. Not because I lost a few of my fingers or because I don't want to upset anyone, but because I'm not entirely sure what I'm reviewing. The Order: 1886 is more of an interactive television series...

  • Abstract:  It only took a few minutes into playing The Order: 1886 to realize just how gorgeous this game looks. But despite the wonderful visuals and cinematic presentation, the game winds up falling short of being a must-have.Developed by Ready at Dawn, The Order:...

  • Abstract:  I've been at this for a while now. Some games come onto my radar and I am instantly intrigued and follow that game all the way to its release. Some games never pop on my radar until the very last minute, and some fall through the cracks completely. Many n...

  • Abstract:  Do you like movies? Do you like video games? If you answered “yes” to either of those questions, you should probably skip The Order: 1886. The PlayStation 4's newest action game is a dull and lumbering thing. It's a brief, drab adventure starring a group...

  • Abstract:  The PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order 1886 is out and it looks incredible, but does the setting and game-play match the graphical gloss? When we spoke to Dana Jan and Garret Foster from developer Ready At Dawn recently it was clear that both were extremely...

  • Abstract:  The game's London 1886 is suitably grubby, smoggy and dark, but also features unexpectedly advanced technology like walkie-talkies.Brevity is not necessarily a negative thing, and there are plenty of video games — even $100 ones — that do wonderful things...

  • It's undeniably pretty – There is no getting around it, the game does look very nice, The story starts well – Ok that's about as far as it gets, but there is remnants of a good idea that could be salvaged in the sequel, Good voice acting – The dialogue
  • Lazy devs: This is a tricky one without spoiling the game, but there is a fight early in the game which is then replicated later on. You could also apply this to the lycan interactions. Every time is the same, Empty streets – Where is everybody? AC:Unit

  • Totally wasted environments offer no interactivity, Cover shooting is static and repetitive, Too rigid to fight out of cover effectively, Constant patronising tutorial popups, QTEs in the cutscenes, Only available on PS4.
