  • As you can see, I can't complain about Skyrim for too long without starting to compliment it again. It's an excited, engaging, epic tale with you at the centre. There are a number of complaints, a few bugs and the odd crash, but nothing that can't be fixe...

  • vast, vast world to explore, dungeons and caves are wonderfully differentiated, graphics and sound are for the most part incredible to behold,
  • Combat isn’t very visceral, and victories and losses feel unearned, Menus and interface are terrible, While the world is wide open, most quests and dungeons are very linear, Bugs abound, especially with physics
  • Despite the serious faults in many of the game mechanics, Skyrim is a triumph because what it succeeds in outweighs those flaws (which may be fixed by patches and mods) by an enormous amount. The world is the richest and most lovingly created that I’ve...

  • Abstract:  The game places you in humble beginnings. You are, to no surprise for people familiar with the Elder Scrolls series, a prisoner when the game begins. Events unfold, a dragon tries to eat you, and suddenly you are a prisoner no more. This is where pla...

  • Yet overall, Skyrim does deliver a profound experience. The main storyline is interesting enough to make you want to see it through to the end, and the sometimes random encounters you will have with dragons will keep things exciting and bursting out o...

  • A revamped leveling system allows for more streamlined play, The graphics are out of this world for an Elder Scrolls game, and for any game of this type, The narrative is top of the line, and easily puts this in my GotY list
  • The combat mechanics can be somewhat off – especially when fighting brain dead AI, Your followers are just a brain dead as the enemies, Skills need to be weighted differently to make it more of an enjoyable experience
  • For RPG fans, this is definitely Game of the Year material – especially if you're a fan of the Elde...

  • Abstract:  As incredible as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was in 2006, it hasn't aged well. While it's still capable of hooking players into tens of hours of questing, it looks terrible, it crashes periodically, its load times are excruciating, and its combat is...

  • Abstract:  With other Bethesda role-playing games I've often fallen into the trap of pursuing side quests to buff up my character and to help fill-out the universe in my own mind. What often happens then is that I suddenly have what feels like too many quests i...

  • Superb visuals, voice acting, soundtrack, Enormous, highly interactive game world, Provides almost limitless options for playing, replaying,
  • Some bugs, Quirky interfaces sometimes frustrating, No multiplayer mode,
  • Building on the advances of the previous games in the landmark Elder Scrolls series, the latest chapter, Skyrim, is the most detailed, immersive, and engrossing yet. ...

  • Incredible amount of content; world feels alive; more than enough improvements to the Bethesda RPG formula; engaging quests; great new leveling and combat system; did we mention the content?
  • Interface is gamepad friendly; does little to take advantage of the PC platform besides the improved visuals; companions are still dumb as a bag of rocks.
  • It's great to hear that Skyrim has lived up to all of its potential and more. Personally, I can't wait for the mod community to get their hands on the game and start crafting out even more content. This is a great time to be a PC gamer for sure...

  • Abstract:  Yes. Taking place about 200 years after the events of Oblivion, players are now thrust into the lands of Skyrim. On the verge of meeting their doom, players soon find out that Dragons are no longer just beasts of myth, and the player isn't just anothe...
