  • Excellent 5inch OLED screen, Two analogue sticks, Great graphics, Responsive touchscreen and touchsensitive panel, Impeccable finish, Decent battery life given its performances
  • Position of analogue sticks (you have to bend your thumbs round to use them), Proprietary format memory cards, Quite bulky for a portable console
  • The Sony PlayStation Vita is a first-rate piece of kit! It's well built and finished, and boasts a superb OLED touchscreen plus high-end graphics. The buttons and analogue sticks make for great gameplay, while the touch-controls bring new possibilities...

  • Great games launch package, Wonderful aesthetics, Brilliant screen, Packed with highend tech, Intuitive interfaces,
  • Pricey, Video playback not great, Both cameras poor
  • In just about every measurable respect, the Vita vastly outclasses its chief rival, Nintendo's 3DS. Where that dual-screen darling offers up the visual pop of autostereoscopic 3D, it's not impacted the overall quality or innovation of games released fo...

  • Abstract:  The PS Vita features a 5-inch OLED touchscreen and a new-look GUIIf you're a video games fan, you're going to love the Playstation Vita (£220 inc. VAT). Sony's handheld follow-up to the PSP is a gorgeous black device, curving round a 5-inch OLED touchscre...

  • The most powerful portable games console around, superb 5-inch 16:9 OLED touchscreen, light yet durable, as fast as an injury lawyer at a house fire in most circumstances, genuine effort to expand its remit beyond mere gaming
  • Rear multi-touch pad takes a lot of getting used to, front and rear camera qualities are nothing to write home about, game loading times can be painful, battery life is just 3 hours for gameplay (although better than the 3DS)
  • Expensive it may be, but the PS Vita offers the best mobile gaming experience around. Its OLED screen is simply divine, and the whole device’s performance belies its diminutive size. It may not set the world alight, but if you’re a serious gamer then i...

  • Powerful quad-core processor; Big bright screen; Comfortable controls
  • Unimpressive battery life; Very big and bulky; Console and games are expensive; No internal storage; limited multi-tasking
  • The powerful PlayStation Vita offers dual-analogue controls and a big, bright screen. It's very bulky though, with unimpressive battery life, and the high price of console and games means that all but the most hardcore gaming nuts would be better serve...

  • Near PS3quality 3D graphics, Great mix of traditional, touchscreen and motion controls, Dazzling subHD OLED screen, Strong builtin apps and exciting games lineup
  • Expensive for a handheld, Unimpressive battery life, Minor issues with Remote Play and media support
  • Impressively powerful and astonishingly feature-packed, PS Vita is - at least for now - the ultimate handheld games machine. With its touch-capabilities, augmented-reality cameras and motion-sensing capabilties it's a versatile little beast that should ...

  • Five-inch OLED touchscreen, Quadcore processor, Launch games line-up
  • Expensive, Fiddly card ports, Focus on core-gamers
  • Sony has really surprised us with the PS Vita, a dedicated gaming portable at supposedly the wrong time that could be so much more. Perhaps that's why it's dropped the 'PlayStation' logo from its belly - to signify a planned convergence with the app-heavy...
