  • WiFi and 3Gconnectivity, Any apps from Google Play can be installed, Same touchscreen as Galaxy S3: great viewing angles, comfort of use, Photo app is nice to use and fully functional (PSAM modes, etc.), General video quality
  • Sensitivity isn't handled as well as in the firm's other cameras, Image sharpness isn't consistent over the frame at maximum zoom setting, Bulky
  • The Samsung Galaxy Camera is king of connectivity and offers plenty of potential to evolve. It's an attractive package for connected users. At wide-angle it takes better phones than most phones (except the unusual Nokia 808) and completely surpasses them ...

  • The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a gorgeous bit of kit, with a dazzling large screen (the best we’ve ever seen on a camera). Its version of Android, 4.1, is much more up to date than that found on the Android-powered Nikon Coolpix S800c, and runs all sorts of apps, even video players and games. As a way to introduce amateurs into the world of photography, it excels: the on-screen dials in Expert mode
  • We could complain about the lack of software fine tuning - it’d be great if more apps could make use of the optical zoom on the camera. As with the Nikon, you’re better off taking shots first and then opening them in your Android camera app of choice. We could also complain about the meagre battery life, more in line with a modern smartphone than a compact camera - you’ll need to get used to char
  • With the Samsung Galaxy Camera, the Korean giant is definitely onto something. Between the data connection, seamless uploading, image editing and charging via micro USB, almost all of the hassles of using a camera have been removed. Sadly though, for t...

  • Superb touchscreen, Seamless connectivity, Large focal range, Intuitive operation
  • Poor battery life, Some image quality issues, Would benefit from i-Function lens functionality
  • The Samsung Galaxy Camera is an ambitious blend of digital camera and mobile device that, for now at least, occupies a unique position within the digital camera market. And, in many ways it's a success too. As a camera, it's fairly well featured with a fa...

  • Abstract:  £400Samsung 's new Galaxy Camera is a unique proposition – is it a phone, thanks to its 3G sim card, or a camera? The answer is clearly the latter, and in fact the 3G emphasis in the marketing is probably something of a red herring. Making phone calls...

  • Sturdy, destinctive design, Impressive 21x optical zoom, Giant 4.8 " super LCD screen, Full Android 4.1 on-board
  • Unit seemed to be a bit top heavy, Difficult to hold at times, First of its kind so more likely to sufer from bugs, Design, With a crisp white and brushed metal finish the unit is certainly a bit of a looker. The massive 4.8” super clear LCD screen looks
  • I have to say I have really enjoyed using this unit and it certainly takes excellent quality photos but can't see myself ever taking the plunge and getting one. I'm not really a huge photographer but can appreciate that for bloggers or keen social network...

  • Vivid 4.8-inch display, Wi-Fi connectivity and apps, Lots of customisation options
  • Small and fiddly microSD, Rather large and bulky, OS built for phones, not cams

  • Gorgeous 4.8in display, Runs Instagram and other Android apps, Long 21x zoom range
  • Rather expensive, A large device, Touch, based control system is unwieldy
  • The Samsung Galaxy Camera appeals to a very specific type of photographer. If getting your photos online moments after they're shot is of paramount importance, then the always-on 3G data connectivity and Android operating system will be a boon to your ph...

  • As connected as cameras get, Android experience takes the operating system to a whole new level, excellent price when considering the SGS3, great for multimedia playback, in-camera video editor
  • It's big, expensive in compact terms, potentially long start-up time, no 4G, soft images when extending the zoom, mid-high ISO settings no good for critical work, mis-focusing can be a problem, would have liked one physical function button, can occasional
  • Android and connectivity is a delight, but the camera - the supposed core of the device - is the Galaxy Camera's weak point. It's good in use, and the rear screen looks ace, but the final images lack the sharpness they ought to have. There's so much po...
