  • The Pebble Steel has really taken me by surprise, my previous experiences with SmartWatches had left me a little confused as to what the point was, the Steel however is more of an extension of the device itself as opposed to a weird little device in itsel...

  • Premium design, metal and leather straps included, ease of use, expanding apps library, phone sync recognises multiple Pebble devices
  • Slow menu, apps don't offer much unless you can find one that really makes a difference for you, iOS notifications are all or nothing
  • As a piece of technology the Pebble Steel is fantastic. It delivers the same brilliant experience as the original Pebble in a device that looks far more premium. However with that discreet new look comes a different way of using the device - an issu...

  • Comfortable, looks like a real watch, Five day battery life, iOS and Android compatible, App store has bags of potential
  • More expensive than original Pebble, Screen could be a bit bigger
  • Pebble Steel verdict Open Gallery Did we mention the Pebble Steel is the best smartwatch you can buy? Well it is. Nothing's perfect - we'd like a slightly bigger (colour e-paper?) screen to fill the watchface and give some of Pebble's new apps r...

  • It's puuuuurty. The Pebble Steel's main goal is just to look more respectable than the nerd-toy it is, and it pulls that off wonderfully. Between the two bands included, it's easy to find the setup that works for you. And on top of that, the nice-looking
  • Most of my quibbles with the Pebble are small, but they're magnified all the more considering everything around them is so stupid simple and good. You can't customise how long a notification stays on the screen, for instance. Notifications auto-dismiss af
  • If you want a smartwatch that doesn't look terrible and you want it right now, then sure. The Pebble Steel is pretty much the only option out there that combines the best notifications-on-your-wrist-ness of a smartwatch, the style of a legitimate piece of...

  • Excellent design update makes Pebble look like a watch you'd wear on a date. Software updates bring new APIs for developers to build on. Capable app store, surprisingly full of great apps already. The already strong notification system sees better integra
  • The price might scare away thrifty shoppers, but they'd be best steered toward the original Pebble. The app store is a little rough around the edges. Some developers still think we want to type on our watches. Android software delays make this an iOSonly

  • Slick design, Loads of apps
  • Slightly lightweight still, UI can be hard to navigate at times
  • The Steel gets the core smartwatch functions right; customisable notification control, decent battery life and simple operation. It lacks features compared to the competition, but its reserved design means it'll blend into your life...

  • Abstract:  We slip the Pebble Steel on to our wrist and it's cold. It might be because the spokeswomen from the company has just hot-footed it from the Venetian to the Las Vegas Convention Centre in the chilly Las Vegas air, or because the strap is now made of steel...

  • The Pebble Steel is both simple and simplified, and very exciting. It's the first piece of wearable technology that fits with my individual workflow, because the Bluetooth-based pairing process is easy, and because Pebble is universally understood to be a...

  • Elegant, high-end design, Easy to use, Customizable watch faces, Growing app store and feature set
  • Expensive
  • The Pebble Steel is as mature as smartwatches come; it couples sophisticated design with a burgeoning Pebble app store, and cements its place atop the competition...
