  • Lens, OIS, build, white balance, live view, responsive, nice menus, image quality, handling
  • Heavy, gloomy viewfinder, noisy images at high ISO, LCD does not flip out and so fails to get the most from Live View capability
  • This rangefinderesque camera is a bit a of a beast but has great magnesium alloy build and, rather than being a budget model, Panasonic has given us a decidedly serious affair and a fairly unique one at that

  • Fast, image stabilised kit lens; built-in bounce flash; can preview shots on LCD
  • Expensive kit is your only option; very noisy at higher ISOs; somewhat clunky design
  • Panasonics Lumix DMC-L1 is a good first attempt at a dSLR, but a clunky design and noise at higher ISOs destroy its chances of dSLR superstardom ...

  • High-quality CCD sensor, SDHC-compatible, Seperate shutter speed dials
  • No tilting screen, Its expensive, Slightly awkward to hold
  • To some, Panasonics first-ever D-SLR might appear as though its been cobbled together from the entrails of an Olympus E-330... but it would be wrong to draw such a conclusion. Its true that the L1s mirror box, shutter and viewfinder hail from an Ol...

  • Abstract:  Digital cameraPanasonic launches its first digital SLR, the Lumix DMC-L1, this month. Unlike Sony, which has chosen to enter the DSLR market with a price-conscious model (the Alpha 100 at $2,000), Panasonic's L1 comes in at $4,000 including lens, pitching...

  • Good in-camera image processing; nice manual controls; good auto-exposure and autofocus; very nice kit lens; excellent RAW conversion software.
  • Not very fast and responsive for its price; tiny viewfinder; noisy image sensor; very poor live view mode.
  • In the end, the L1 is a rather difficult purchasing decision to make. On one hand, it’s got some fantastic controls, a rather nice bundled lens and little touches that make it feel special. And when shooting in RAW, you can obtain results that easily...

  • Abstract:  Panasonic son realistas.

  • Abstract:  Panasonic ist realistisch. Man weiß dort, dass man nicht auf einen Schlag zum Marktführer werden kann. Der Markt muss sich schließlich noch an Panasonic gewöhnen und die Marke selbst muss noch das eine oder andere von diesem „neuen Markt&ldquo...
