  • The OnePlus 5 is a logical refinement of the young company's back catalogue. It marries solid design with excellent software in a package under £500. But a year ago, it did this all for a sliver over £300.The phone feels like the end of OnePlus phase one...

  • The OnePlus 5 is affordable and super fast, with an 18-hour battery. Its camera takes great portraits and low-light shots
  • It costs more than any previous model, its design isn't anything special and it doesn't have expandable storage
  • The OnePlus 5 is outstanding, especially for the price; no other phone gives you the same bang for the buck...

  • Subtle styling improvements make for a better overall package, As powerful as 2017 phones get, with great battery life to boot, Dual cameras take brilliant daylight pics
  • Not as big a bargain as last year, Screen sticks to 1080p, Not the best at night-time photography
  • By looking beyond a rock-bottom price, OnePlus has created a superb phone that feels more mature than its predecessors, with refinements, design tweaks and performance upgrades that let it rub shoulders with the big boys - while still coming in at least £...

  • Solid build, fast and fluid performance, vibrant display and the super-fast Dash Charge
  • Still no QHD screen, phone is more expensive than previous models
  • It's impossible to look at the OnePlus 5 and not see the price hike this year. Last year's first flagship cost £309. Then the OnePlus 3T launched at £399. With the OnePlus 5 that's up again, to £449 for the Slate Grey 6GB/64GB model. In the space of 12 mo...

  • great camera, supersmooth performance, plenty of storage, Dash Charge, good screen, dualsim, good battery life, Bluetooth 5
  • not water resistant, dated bezelheavy design, no expandable storage, 5.5in screen only FHD, no wireless charging
  • The OnePlus is a great phone. But thanks to its large top and bottom bezels, it looks and feels dated compare to the likes of the Galaxy S8 and LG G6. Its similarity to an iPhone 7 Plus is remarkable, and in many ways it is like an iPhone running Android...

  • Excellent camera with pro features, fast performance, genuinely rapid charging
  • Just two colours in range (and both are black), home button can be fiddly at first
  • The OnePlus 5 is all about value, despite being £100 more than the OnePlus 3T. It builds on its predecessor, adding a dual camera and some proper options for taking pro-quality photos. Battery life is superb, Dash Charging will make iPhone users weep...

  • Great performance, Outstanding battery life
  • Flavorless design with no IP-rating, Pretty ordinary display
  • If all you care about is getting the best performance for the best price, then the OnePlus 5 is a hard bargain to pass up...

  • There are a lot of reasons to buy the OnePlus 5. Performance-wise, it feels like the fastest phone around. It's also thin and light, and has a headphone jack. And its retail price is cheaper than the Snapdragon 835 phones from Samsung and HTC by a fairly...
