  • It’s certainly an original piece of work, and for a power user, it could be amazing, as long as you don’t mind switching out the battery every day. And it certainly looks cool, or if not cool, then at least interesting. But I don’t think it’s going to...

  • You can adjust and configure the mouse body for a perfect fit, Excellent, heavyduty construction with lots of metal, Onthefly selection of resolutions and modes, Instant responsiveness equivalent to the best wired mice, Easily swappable batteries; extra battery charges in the receiver, Precision Aim button!,
  • Expensive mouse solution, Profile Editor software somewhat limited; must manually load game profiles, Profile data stored in the driver, not the mouse, No "free scrolling" option on the scroll wheel, Minimal documentation.
  • I'm interested in pointing devices, and have rather a lot of them, including a collection of wired and wireless mice, Bluetooth trackpads, and several standard and thumb-operated trackballs. I loved the feel and features of my R.A.T. 7, but its incons...

  • Low-latency wireless connectivityGreat battery life with hot-swappable packsIt's a transforming mouse
  • No easy way to grab battery packsSlight fit and finish issuesNot quite one-size-fits-all
  • Despite its customizable hardware, the Rat 9 won't fit everyone. It wouldn't fit our hand perfectly, though it was fairly comfortable. It won't fit pro gamers who scoff at wireless-only mice for fear of interference at LAN events, even when confronted wit...

  • Fully customisable, Good wireless signal, Extra battery included, Charging dock works well, Feels comfortable
  • Looks not to everyone's taste, Expensive, Not the best gaming mouse
  • Overall this is a good, yet very expensive wireless mouse that adapts to your gaming style, and not the other way around....

  • If I had to use one word to the describe the Cyborg R.A.T 9 mouse it wouldn't be awesome, excellent or amazing; it would be Special. It's a little like owning a supercar, you know it's expensive, drinks fuel and capable of far more than you, but it's all...

  • Original and attractive design, quality finish, Excellent laser sensor (keeps track of movements as fast as 4 metres per second), Adjustable length, Eight programmable buttons, featurerich driver, user profiles, Two rechargeable batteries supplied
  • Can prove difficult to use at its maximum length setting, Adjustments need to be made with care, otherwise don't bother taking it apart!, The 1000 Hz frequency isn't continuous, it's nearer 500 Hz most of the time, Jaunty edges of adjustable sections can be uncomfortable, Very heavy: 163 g even without any of the extra weights!
  • The Cyborg R.A.T 9 deserves five stars for its originality, its finish, its design and its great sensor. However, you will have to put up with its rather unusual handling. It's not the most comfortable mouse out there and its very heavy design requires...

  • When first unboxing the R.A.T. 9 the user will most likely be a little overwhelmed by the device and the number of bundled items. It really is a case of "where do I even start" but in a good way. For the overall aesthetic of the unit we have a device ...
