  • Abstract:  Trying to figure out the best CPU for your next PC upgrade or DIY build? With apologies to Robert Frost, it's the classic two roads that parted in the wood—if the wood were a shopping-results page at Newegg or Amazon, and the road kept dividing endlessly...

  • Obviously, being stuck on their 14nm process for what seems like an infinite amount of pluses, Intel's progress over the years has been slower than expected. In a way, it's impressive to see just how much they've been able to squeeze out of the 14nm proce...

  • 6-core, 12-thread, Great performance over its predecessor, Price, Overclocking and thermals are much more manageable, PCI-Express 4.0
  • Not on par with AMD's equivalent, No CPU cooler included
  • When we took a look at the Core i9-11900K we were a little disappointed, mainly for the fact that it just could not compete against AMD and really did not feel like a flagship product. With the mid-range Core i5-11600K Intel can redeem themselves at least...

  • Abstract:  Whenever a new set of processors is launched we all look longingly at the top of the range model and then check our bank balance and realise we can only afford a model in the upper middle of the range. This is by no means an experience limited to proces...

  • Snappy single-threaded performance, Gaming performance, Overclocking enhancements, PCIe 4.0, Faster iGPU,
  • High pricing, High power consumption, Needs CPU cooler, Eight cores, Lackluster threaded performance, Gear 2 Memory Mode, Limited PCIe 4.0 Support
  • The Core i9-11900K is impressive in gaming and lightly-threaded work, but it trails the Ryzen 9 5900X tremendously in threaded work and doesn't cement itself well enough in gaming to justify the premium price tag...

  • Intel's new 11th generation of their Core series of desktop CPUs has been an interesting one. Like with the 10th gen CPUs, the issues with dropping their manufacturing process down to a smaller node has caused this generation to once again be left at...
