  • Good-looking design, Feels at home as both a tablet and laptop, Good keyboard and trackpad
  • Atom chip isn't up to any intensive tasks, Display is weak for a tablet, A few small features missing, like USB 3.0 and backlit keys

  • Excellent battery life of 11hours in laptop mode, Great tablet experience with excellent docking mechanism, Fully fledged Windows 8, no watered down Windows RT, Great brushed aluminum design and solid build quality
  • Limited storage space and SSD relatively slow, Intel Atom processor is slow, Low screen resolution and no pen input, Keyboard and touchpad are soso
  • If you want both a tablet and laptop, the HP ENVY x2 is a compelling offering. It has a premium look and build quality, the dock and latch mechanism are awesome. It's just so easy to put the tablet portion into the keyboard dock, and once there it really ...

  • Sharp, colorful screen, Attractive, lightweight design, Long battery life with dock
  • Stiff, uncomfortable typing experience, Netbook-level performance, Mediocre battery life without dock
  • The HP Envy x2 offers long battery life and a responsive Windows 8 touch experience in a lightweight hybrid design, but you get netbook-like performance.

  • Abstract:  The Intel Atom brand tends to find itself attached to bargain-basement hardware – but HP's Atom-based Envy x2 is an upmarket convertible. It runs full Windows 8, sports an 11.6in detachable touchscreen, and supports both desktop- and tablet-style apps.In ...

  • Overall, I admit that I really like the ENVY x2."It lasts without a charge all day, and is light and slim, and seems an ideal compromise between the size of a notebook screen and a tablet screen."Stability presents more of a problem than I am used to on O...

  • Excellent battery life; Premium brushed metal design; Beats Audio should make sound a little better than your average laptop;
  • Two headphone ports seems strange; USB 2.0 ports only, not USB 3.0; Tablet lock mechanism can be very, very tight;
  • For the first Windows 8 tablet effort from HP, the Envy X2 manages to score some real positives, with an excellent design, some great performance, and a real return to a quality computing experience from the company.The price might be seen as a touch too...

  • Excellent hybrid design, Exceptionally long battery life, Light and runs very cool, Runs all Windows applications
  • Tablet a bit oversizeD, Paltry mass storage, Limited tabletoptimized apps, Poor 3D graphics performance
  • In the end, though, we see so much potential in the Envy x2 we're willing to overlook some of its awkwardness. It's the type of device that is sure to improve over time, and it's showing the way to the undeniable future of ultralight laptops....
