  • Abstract:  The upstart behind the Eve V is trying to build something powerful, price it affordably, and give users a voice in the process. Did the group succeed? Read (and watch) this...

  • The Eve V comes loaded with a fanless aluminum design, a brilliant display and a decent number of ports
  • Performance isn't as strong as some of the competition and the kickstand doesn't stand up to the excellent one on the Surface Pro. It may be hard to get one unless you already preordered through its crowdfunding campaign

  • Great build quality, Bright, beautiful display, Comfortable keyboard, Lots of ports, Modestly priced compared to the Surface
  • Active pen isn't as precise as others, Keyboard doesn't always perform well over Bluetooth, Speakers sound lifeless, Slightly heavy for a tablet PC
  • The Eve V was designed by users for users, and while a lot could have gone wrong, very little did. It's a well-built machine considering the relative inexperience of the company behind it, and it offers solid performance and a great screen at a reasonable...

  • Abstract:  You've never heard of Eve, but its first product is made by you. The V, a hybrid doubling as both a laptop and a tablet, was introduced on Indiegogo in 2016. The goal for its crowdfunding campaign was set at $75,000. Eve blew right past that and raised n...

  • Bright “retina” IGZO screen, Keyboard functions both wired and wirelessly, eGPU support via Thunderbolt 3, 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB-C, 1 x Thunderbolt 3, Decent battery life
  • Completely flat power and volume buttons are hard to find
  • In the consumer electronics market, especially when it comes to computers and mobile devices, choices are often made based on compromises, often ending up with a tinge of disappointment or buyer's regret. Part of the reason why is because there is no devi...

  • Overall, the Eve V is a nice looking computer with a great screen, surprisingly decent speakers, and a $799 starting price that puts it squarely in Microsoft Surface Pro territory. But Eve didn't send me a $799 tablet to review. They sent a $1599 model tha...
