  • Easy to use, Shuffles videos, 80GB of internal storage, Integrated IR transmitter, Great remote control
  • Very basic features and interface compared to other media players, Have to purchase additional plug-ins to access many features included on other devices, DVR functionality only with additional hardware, Not high definition
  • While Archos has stepped away from manufacturing and developing the Archos TV+, there is a market for them - even refurbished models. If the Archos TV+ meets your needs, this is a great product to bring into your home theater. Similar products are ava...

  • Easy setup to internet connection and product registration, Built in wifi and Ethernet connections, Useful reference guide included, Plugins and addons available for expandability, 80 GB hard drive for large file storage, USB connection for familiar fi...
  • Interface is confusing at times, and there is little customization, Keyboard is hard to type with and the mouse is slow, Very poor video quality and websites are almost unreadable, Additional costs for premium content
  • This product is great for someone who doesnt require a ton of extra features, and who isnt bothered by a few extra fees here and there. I recommend a simpler solution for the more tech savvy customer buy an inexpensive computer tower with a TV tune, ...

  • Abstract:  I’m trying to look at the Archos TV+ through the eyes of its intended audience. If the target market for this unit consists of the same people who are likely to buy Apple TV (thought I’d get all the way through the review without comparing the...

  • Small, Good clear music streaming, Good range of features
  • Additional plug ins bring the price up, No HD recording, Complicated freeview connection
  • The Archos TV+ looks good on the box but opening it up brings a host of problems. Add to this additional charges and all you will get is disappointment

  • Works as a DVR, media extender; built-in Web browser; can copy television programming to portable USB devices; many connection options; good amount of storage for the price
  • Stale user interface; no HD support; cant record two programs simultaneously; plug-ins for additional file types, Flash support cost extra
  • A DVR and media extender in one, the Archos TV+ is chock full of features, but its not without its limitations. ...

  • Abstract:  There are plenty of solutions for getting downloaded video and music onto your TV, from Windows Media Center to digital media adapters-and of course, Apple TV. You can record TV on a Windows Media Center and transfer it to a portable media player, or ...

  • Built-in DVR, Good streaming ability, Can sync recordings to Archos media players
  • Low video resolution, Confusing remote, Web plug-in costs $30 extra
  • Although the Archos TV+ has more features, it’s not as easy to use as Apple TV, does not support true high-def, and has a confusing remote. In its current form, the Archos TV+ is a pale Apple TV imitation, even if it can record video.

  • The TV+ has a lot of potential and is certainly stacked with features. But it has too many shortcomings to be worth spending £250 on. It's not a particularly good media streamer. It's not an elegant alternative to Sky Plus or a decent twin-tuner DVR. Its ...
