  • Retina Display; speed; slim; flash storage
  • No ethernet, FireWire 800 ports; No ExpressCard slot; power hungry, $2499 (2.3 GHz); $3199 (2.6GHz)
  • With the Retina MacBook Pro, Apple once again proves it is a company that refuses to sit still and get comfortable. It redefined the ultraportable laptop with the MacBook Air and has now altered the concept of the “pro” laptop. Going lighter and smalle...

  • Abstract:  In amongst all the hype surrounding the iPhone and iPad, it’s easy to overlook the fact that Apple’s Macintosh computers—and its MacBook laptops in particular—have also enjoyed booming sales in recent years. In fact, Apple claims to have just taken the nu...

  • Abstract:  All of Apple's handheld devices, namely the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, have so-called ‘Retina' screens. These are displays that have so many pixels that they are indistinguishable from one another, so onscreen text and images look incredibly smooth a...

  • The highlight is the Apple MacBook Pro’s Retina Display. It’s the sharpest screen you’re ever likely to see on any laptop or desktop. To call it the best-looking computer screen you’ll lay eyes on is an understatement. It’s gorgeous. text and images look incredible, without a stray pixel in sight. The only downside is it makes non-Retina Display screens look inferior in comparison. You’ll not loo
